IPOH: Participants taking part in the General Operations Force (GOF) basic training programme held at the main firing range at the North Brigade General Operations Force Unit, in Ipoh, Perak yesterday.

A total of 44 officers and 233 members from the unit successfully met the three-month challenges, designed to train participants in basic skills and tactics for a war against insurgents, conventional warfare and maintaining public order.

GOF is the paramilitary arm of the Royal Malaysia Police, established in 1948 during the Malayan Emergency by the British Administration.
